The tourist board really have pushed the boat out these last few years gearing Southport up as a major tourist resort. There are 22 miles of beautiful coastline and some of the most elegant parks and gardens you're ever likely to visit. There is 'Lord Street' famous for its fine shops. The Promenade, Marine Lake, Pier, Zoo, Parks and Gardens make for plenty to do and see. There are many snack bars and restaurants to take lunch in.
